RSPCA's cold weather warning to dog owners as snow sweeps UK

The RSPCA is urging millions of dog and cat owners to act now to keep their pets safe as sub-zero temperatures are set to sweep the UK over the coming days

With cold weather alerts expected to continue throughout the week and forecasts of snow and icy temperatures, it's vital to keep pets protected. Additionally, any pets exposed to cold or damp conditions should be dried with a towel, and provided with abundant warm bedding to snuggle into. However, if housing dogs inside isn't feasible, they must always have access to a sheltered space equipped with clean, cozy, and dry bedding, alongside a dependable heat source ensuring temperatures never plunge below 10C.
