Roy Thomas Baker, Hitmaking Producer Behind Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ Dead at 78


Roy Thomas Baker, the producer behind Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and many other hits, has died at the age of 78.

Baker worked with some of the biggest rock acts of the past 50 years, including Queen, Lindsey Buckingham, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Smashing Pumpkins, Guns N’ Roses, Foreigner, Alice Cooper, and Cheap Trick. Baker began his career as a second engineer at Decca Studios in London, working under luminaries like Tony Visconti and Gus Dudgeon.
