Ronald D. Moore to Receive the Outstanding Television Writer Award at the 2024 Austin Film Festival (EXCLUSIVE)
The Austin Film Festival has announced Ronald D. Moore will receive of the Outstanding Television Writer Award for his prolific impact on television.
Moore got his break in the industry as a staff writer for “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” for which he wrote 27 episodes, including the award-winning two-hour series finale. During its historic run, “Battlestar Galactica” received a Peabody award and an Emmy nomination for best writing in a dramatic series and was selected as a top television program by the American Film Institute in 2005 and 2006. Through his company Tall Ship productions, Moore is currently producing the Golden Globe-nominated series “Outlander” for Starz and “For All Mankind” on Apple TV+.
