Ron Howard’s ‘Eden’ Set to Open Italy’s Torino Film Festival With Director in Tow for International Launch

Ron Howard's 'Eden' is set to open Italy's Torino Film Festival with the director on hand for the film's international launch

Landing the international launch of the survival thriller, with Howard on hand, marks a nice coup for the fest’s new artistic director, Italian actor/director Giulio Base. Torino is Italy’s preeminent event for young directors and indie cinema, and is where Matteo Garrone and Paolo Sorrentino screened their first works. Base is putting his stamp on the fest with a previously-announced 24-title Marlon Brando retro celebrating the birth centennial of the two-time Oscar winner, known for his naturalistic acting style and rebellious streak.
