Later this spring, on June 7, Ron Howard and his wife, Cheryl, will celebrate a half-century of marriage — and with those 50 years have come a wealth of life lessons. Howard, who first met his wife while attending John Burroughs High School in Burbank, Calif., and took her on their first date in 1970, adds that luck has played a role in their enduring marriage. Even with his latest project, the Apple TV+ docuseries Fight for Glory: 2024 World Series, for which he serves as executive producer, Howard says his wife was there to support him.
