Ron Hale, ‘Ryan’s Hope’ Actor, Dies at 78


Ron Hale, known for his role as Dr. Roger Coleridge on the ABC soap opera 'Ryan's Hope,' has died. He was 78.

Hale went on to play Mike Corbin on “ General Hospital ” from 1995 to 2010 and also appeared as the character on the daytime soap opera’s spinoff series, “Port Charles,” from 1997 to 2000. On the film side, Hale portrayed Watergate burglar Frank Sturgis in the 1976 biographical political thriller, “All the President’s Men,” starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman. He attended Furman University and appeared in plays with Columbia’s Trustus Theatre, which was started by his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Kay Thigpen.
