Romy Mars, Daughter of Sofia Coppola and Phoenix Frontman, Launches Music Career With Two Singles
Romy Mars, the daughter of Sofia Coppola and Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars, is launching her music career with the release of two singles.
Produced by bedroom pop artist Claud, known for their collaborations with Clairo, “Stuck Up” and “From a Distance” showcase Mars speak-singing confessional lyrics over stripped-down instrumentals. Mars recently made her red carpet debut opposite her grandfather, Francis Ford Coppola, at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of his sci-fi drama “Megalopolis.” Prior to entering the music industry, listeners may recognize Mars from her viral TikTok in which she made vodka sauce pasta while telling a story about how she got grounded for trying charter a helicopter so she could hang out with her camp friend. The TikTok’s quirky delivery and sarcastic tone instantly crowned her the internet’s new favorite nepo baby.
