Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion Sequel Is a Go at 20th Century

'Better Nate Than Never' director Tim Federle is on board to direct the feature based on the 1997 cult comedy.

A sequel to Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion is moving ahead at 20 th Century Studios, with Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow in negotiations to reprise their starring roles. The movie featured Sorvino and Kudrow as a pair of unaccomplished, 29-year olds who decide to fabricate successful careers in order to impress their former classmates at their 10 th anniversary high school reunion. Sorvino, who won an Oscar for her performance in Mighty Aphrodite just two years before Romy and Michele, recently starred with Courtney Cox and Greg Kinnear in Starz’s supernatural series Shining Vale.
