Romania's Ana Barbosu Breaks Silence After Jordan Chiles' Medal Drama
Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu has addressed the IOC granting her the bronze medal from Jordan Chiles
Barbosu was initially announced as the third-place winner moments before Team USA filed an inquiry into the difficulty of one of Chiles’ jumps. Following the Court of Arbitration of Sport’s controversial ruling against Jordan Chiles’ floor exercise routine, her fellow members of Team USA are standing in solidarity. The CAS concurred with the request on Saturday, August 10, reverting Chiles score back to 13.666 and noting it was up to the discretion of the IOC to strip athletes of medals.
