Roman Kemp shares heartbreaking childhood struggle that saw mum 'crying for days'


The One Show host Roman Kemp has opened up about his childhood and said that his mother Shirlie Kemp would often be in tears for days due to her struggles with the paparazzi

Martin Kemp, now 63, found fame with New Romantic band Spandau Ballet and later gained more recognition as an actor in BBC soap EastEnders, where he played Steve Owen. Roman recalled an incident where Shirlie "cried for like five days" after photographs of their family enjoying a banana boat ride were published.
