Rocky star Carl Weathers dies aged 76 as tributes pour in
Carl Weathers, who played Apollo Creed in the Rocky film franchise, has died at the age of 76 and his family have paid tribute to their 'beloved brother, father, grandfather'
The "beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend" passed away on Tuesday, it was confirmed by his manager Matt Luber, reports Mirror Online. The statement which was shared with the Daily Mail continued: "Through his contributions to film, television, the arts and sports, he has left an indelible mark and is recognised worldwide and across generations. Carl was also famous for his role in The Mandalorian and won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance.
