Robyn Gives Us ‘Life’ as She Joins Jamie xx on Latest ‘In Waves’ Single

Jamie xx has recruited Robyn for “Life,” the latest single off the upcoming album In Waves, the long-awaited follow-up to his 2015 LP In Colour. “Life” marks Robyn’s first new song since she covered Neneh Cherry’s “Buffalo Stance” in 2022, and one of only a handful new tracks she’s appeared on since releasing her own Honey back in 2019. Over the past few years, Jamie xx has dropped a series of one-off singles including “Kill Dem,” “ Let’s Do It Again,” and “It’s So Good.” Those standalone songs (plus new tracks “Do Something” and “F U,” featuring Erykah Badu) will appear on a bonus disc accompanying the deluxe version of In Waves, due out Sept. 20.
