Robin Williams' Son, Zak Williams, Reflects on Seeing His Dad Help Strangers on the Street: 'What Kindness Was All About'

Robin Williams' son, Zak Williams, spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about his memories of watching his dad help strangers in need and how he has made it his mission to carry on the comedian's legacy of charity and philanthropy.

Since Robin's death at age 63 in 2014, Zak — along with his siblings Zelda, 35, and Cody, 33 — have made it their mission to carry on their dad's legacy of philanthropy. Zak — who is chairman of Glenn Close's nonprofit Bring Change to Mind, which works to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness — also continues to honor Robin with touching tributes on social media. Back in August, he shared a smiling photo on Instagram of the actor from his Mork & Mindy days to mark the 10th anniversary of his death.
