Robin White dead - EastEnders and BBC icon dies as tributes paid to 'remarkable man'


Robin White, a composer who worked on a number of BBC projects over the years, has sadly died at the age of 73. Among his most famous works was the music for EastEnders

The news of his passing was confirmed on his website, where fans are now greeted with the tribute: "Robin White died in March 2025. It continued to praise his contributions, noting: "A student of Vernon Handley, White was celebrated for his light-music and outdoor concerts, particularly at National Trust sites. "In a varied music career, Robin conducted many orchestras and ensembles, particularly in open-air, pop-classics concerts at National Trust properties and similar venues across the south of England and the midlands."
