Robert Eggers is developing a new 'Christmas Carol' Movie At Warner Bros. with Willem Dafoe Top Choice To Star
Insiders add while negotiations are not under way with any talent, Eggers is writing the role of Ebenezer Scrooge for his longtime collaborator Willem Dafoe as the top choice to play the classic Charles Dickens character. The classic Dickens tale seems to be right in Eggers wheelhouse not only because of the supernatural elements at the center of the story but time period seems to be a perfect fit for his visual style. Dafoe has become the directors muse as of late having previously appeared in his last three films, TheLighthouse, The Northman and Nosferatu.
