Robert De Niro Stands Firm on 'Support' for His Children After Daughter Airyn Comes Out as Trans
Robert De Niro discussed his 'support' for his kids — including daughter Airyn, after she came out as transgender — in a chat with 'Entertainment Tonight.'
De Niro and his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, are parents to daughter Drena, 53, and son Raphael, 48. And as the Meet the Parents star told ET more recently of his responsibility as a dad when it comes to his kids' decisions and lives, “Even if you don’t go with it or think that they are going at it, whatever it is, you have to support them." Airyn — an aspiring actress and model, who is also studying to be a mental-health counselor — told Them in her April interview that she "wasn’t brought up having a side part in one of Dad’s movies or going to business meetings or attending premieres."
