Robert De Niro continues work on Netflix miniseries Zero Day as cameras roll in NYC ... acting icon plays former president in political thriller

De Niro, 80, was clad in a pinstriped navy blue suit with a navy blue tie, eyeglasses with black frames and black dress shoes, as cameras rolled on the political thriller.

Robert De Niro continued filming the limited Netflix series Zero Day in his native New York City on Sunday, playing the role of former President George Mullen. De Niro last month was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as William Hale in Killers of the Flower Moon, but lost out on the honors to Robert Downey Jr. And despite a resume of roles spanning questionable fictional characters such as Travis Bickle and Max Cady, as well as late fraud kingpin Bernie Madoff, De Niro said he'd 'never' be up to the task of playing Trump, as he 'can't see any good in him' whatsoever.
