Robbie Williams admits 'I'm lucky to be alive' as he opens up on mental health


Robbie Williams has opened up on his mental health battles and admitted he is "lucky to be alive" after struggling with his demons throughout his career

The Stoke-on-Trent born star, who shot to fame as part of Take That alongside Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Mark Owen. Robbie admits he has battled "a couple of decades" worth of mental health conditions, but credits wife Ayda Field and their four children Teddy, Charlie, Coco and Beau for helping him mature and work on himself. (Image: GETTY)Ayda explained that they address the topic in an age-appropriate manner, saying: "It's not something we talk about after school but there was a documentary on Netflix and I think there are things that come up in our lives and we have very age appropriate conversations about their father's story and we have been through as a couple and we don't shy away from that."
