The pair have grown closer since filming their new TV show Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour and have spoken of their friendship on Jamie Laing's Good Company podcast. On the same podcast Robert shard his feelings towards Rylan whilst talking the 'two-types' of friends, saying: "Real friendship is not the people who'll be there in the middle of the night, I mean the emergency services will do that for you." Robert also admitted that his career could have taken somewhat of a different course if he had not seen one famous British actor out-perform him, saying: "I thought first day, I'd have a go at acting, because I'd had an alright time at the National Youth Theatre.
