Riteish Deshmukh and Mukesh Ambani’s Jio Studios are collaborating on Raja Shivaji, a historical action movie about the founder of the Maratha empire. “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is not a mere historical figure; he is an emotion, a timeless saga of valour, and a beacon of hope that has illuminated hearts for over three and a half centuries,” actor-director Deshmukh said. Deshmukh made his directorial debut with Ved(2022) and acted in the likes of TFTNW(2022) and the Housefull franchise.
