Ricky Gervais & Nikki Glaser Score First Grammy Nominations For Best Comedy Album; Dave Chappelle, Jim Gaffigan & Trevor Noah Also In Mix

Ricky Gervais & Nikki Glaser on Friday landed their first Grammy nominations, in the category of Best Comedy Album.

Remarkably, the nomination was the first for both Gervais and Glaser, whose career reached new heights on the heels of her performance in Netflix’s Tom Brady roast. While Gaffigan recently took to Prime Video with the special Dark Pale, he was recognized for The Prisoner, which is the only one of the nominees only to have been released in album form. Gervais’s Armageddon won the first-ever Golden Globe for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television earlier this year, with Someday You’ll Die scoring a pair of Emmy nominations.
