Rick Ross’ Drake Diss Video Is Actually Self-Promo (And It’s Genius)
Rick Ross released a surprise video for 'Champagne Moments,' his diss aimed at Drake, on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Ross released a visual for his recently-released diss track, which simply sees the Miami rapper sitting on a stool in front of a Chevy Bel Air and surrounded by bottles of alcohol he gets paid to endorse. In the visual, Ross seemed to allude to Drake’s line about him taking weight loss drug Mounjaro (also used to treat type 2 diabetes) by uncovering his belly and grabbing it before letting out a laugh. The beef that’s shaken up hip-hop ’s upper echelon was sparked weeks ago by Kendrick Lamar ’s Drake and J. Cole-dragging verse in Future and Metro Boomin’s “ Like That.” J. Cole initially responded with his own “ 7 Minute Drill,” a track he later said he regretted during a speech from the stage at his Dreamville festival.
