Richard Simmons' family disputes Pauly Shore's claims about biopic approval

Pauly Shore insists he had Richard Simmons' approval for biopic, but the late fitness guru's family says he never communicated with Shore or wished him 'Good Luck.'

Richard Simmons may be gone, but actor Pauly Shore still wants to move forward with a biopic about the fitness guru's life. Shore's representative did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly's request for additional comment on the back-and-forth. He does have some proof of concept already: a short film, less than a minute long, titled The Court Jester that features Shore in character as Simmons.
