Elsewhere in a wide-ranging interview coming two days after a set piece from Director GeneralTim Davie about the BBC’s future, Sharp questioned whether the corporation has the “nimbleness” to face long-term challenges. The BBC will soon begin a consultation with hundreds of thousands of its audiences over license fee reform, while an expert panel has been assembled by the government to examine the model.
