The news came about 10 months after the comic announced his retirement from stand-up due to his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease. Richard announced that he’d been diagnosed with Parkinson’s two years prior when revealing that he’d retire from stand-up comedy in April 2023, per The New York Times.
