Richard Gere reunites with Breathless co-star Valarie Kaprisky at Christmas charity dinner in Paris - more than 40 years after playing lovers in romantic thriller

The former co-stars smiled as they posed next to each other during a special Christmas dinner at Fouquet's Barrière restaurant, for the Soleil d'Enfance association.

The duo starred opposite each other in the American remake of Breathless in 1983, which saw Richard play Jesse, a desperate man who needs to escape Las Vegas quickly. He steals a car to drive to L.A but on the way he shoots a police officer, when he eventually makes it to L.A. he stays with Monica, played by Valarie, a beautiful girl he has only known for a few days. In addition, the Hollywood A-lister is stepfather to the Spanish activist's 11-year-son, Albert and he is also the proud dad of son Homer, 24, whom he welcomed with his second wife, actress Carey Lowell.
