Richard Gere talked to PEOPLE about spending time with his eldest son Homer, 25, as they made a rare appearance at an event in N.Y.C. alongside Gere's wife Alejandra on April 22.
Gere shares Homer with ex-wife Carey Lowell, while he also has two younger sons — Alexander, 6, and James, 5 — with wife Alejandra, 42. The event "comes at a critical time as the organization noted that visits to New York City soup kitchens and food pantries are at the highest level on record," per a release. "More than 3 million New Yorkers are struggling to make ends meet as they grapple with high costs for rent, food and other necessities," the description reads.
