Richard Gere Joins ‘The Agency’ Showtime Series

Richard Gere is set to star opposite Michael Fassbender and Jeffrey Wright in The Agency, the political thriller series for Paramount+ with Showtime.

Gere settled on The Agency, executive produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, after fielding offers for multiple high-profile series over the past couple of months. A remake of the French series Le Bureau des Legendes, The Agency follows Martian (Fassbender), a covert CIA agent, ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. “Richard Gere is in a class of his own, adored by generations of fans worldwide for his exceptional ability to infuse depth and authenticity into every role he plays,” said Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios.
