Republican National Convention Viewership Rises To Almost 18 Million On Night Of J.D. Vance’s First Speech As Trump’s VP Nominee


The viewership was up vs. 2020

Vance gave his first speech as the vice presidential nominee, according to Nielsen. The viewership compares to 17.3 million who watched the third night of the convention in 2020, when then-Vice President Mike Pence gave a speech at Fort McHenry in Baltimore, MD. In 2016, when Pence accepted his first nomination as Trump’s running mate, viewership was 23.37 million.
