Renee Rapp slams fans who question her sexuality after she previously identified as bisexual: 'If I say I'm a lesbian, I am a lesbian'
Rapp came out as bisexual in 2022, but has referred to herself as a lesbian in recent months. She made her red-carpet debut with girlfriend Towa Bird this month at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party.
Rapp — who criticized Golden Globes host Jo Koy for allegedly sexist jokes aimed at women — has described herself as a lesbian in recent months, though she previously called herself bisexual in interviews as early as 2022. Towa, who was born in Hong Kong to British and Filipino parents and spent time in London and Thailand in her early years, had been an opener for Reneé on her Snow Hard Feelings Tour in recent months. Reneé told The Hollywood Reporter in February that rewatching a scene in which her Sex Lives Of College Girls character came out as a lesbian helped her to realize that she was gay; seen with Towa Bird on tour
