Record Label Market Share Year-End 2024: REPUBLIC Dominates, Interscope Ends On a High

Record label market share stats for 2024 are out, with Taylor Swift's Tortured Poets Department leading Republic to an industry-leading share overall.

Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department' led Republic to an even higher current share than it enjoyed in 2023, while Interscope and Warner Records had big years. At the end of 2023, Republic Records’ industry-leading current market share of 13.47% represented the best full-year mark for a label since at least 2015, encompassing the streaming era for the music industry. That meant Atlantic Records (which encompasses 300 Entertainment and Elektra) finished in fourth, dropping 1.21% from 2023 to land at 5.64% current share, in a year that was marked by a major transition in leadership.
