Rebekah Vardy takes a swipe at Wayne Rooney as she dismisses his claim England manager said she had to 'calm down' and insists she doesn't want to become the next Victoria Beckham
The WAG, 42, took part in a Q&A with her fans on Instagram where she was asked what the funniest fake story she had seen about herself was.
This referred to Wayne Rooney claiming Rebekah's husband Jamie was asked by then England manager Roy Hodgson to tell his wife to 'calm down' her behaviour during the Euros during the infamous Wagatha Christie trial. Rebekah was left with a mammoth legal bill and her reputation in tatters when a High Court judge dismissed her evidence in the original trial as 'evasive or implausible' and accused her of deliberately deleting WhatsApp messages central to the case. In the viral social media post in October 2019 at the heart of the libel claim, Mrs Rooney said she had carried out a months-long 'sting operation' and accused Rebekah's of leaking information about her private life to the press.
