Rebekah Vardy lost her libel claim against Coleen Rooney in July 2022, after a judge ruled that Coleen's post was "substantially true" - and now the case is set to return to court
In the viral social media post in October 2019 at the heart of the libel claim, Coleen said she had carried out a months-long "sting operation" and accused Rebekah of leaking information about her private life to the press. These stories included a fabricated trip to Mexico for a "gender selection" procedure, her supposed TV comeback plans, and a flood at her home.
