Reba McEntire Denies Allegation She Called Taylor Swift an 'Entitled Brat': 'Don’t Believe Everything You See'

Reba McEntire shared a post on Instagram over the weekend, in which she denied an allegation made by a Facebook page that she called Taylor Swift an 'entitled brat.' The county music star said, 'Don't believe everything you see on the internet.'

"Reba McIntire [sic] talks about how disappointed she was to look up at the big screen while performing The National Anthem, only to see Taylor Swift laughing and drinking and making a mockery of the event," the post said, before claiming that McEntire responded: "I let her have it afterward. During a December 2023 interview with NBC's TikTok, McEntire said she first knew Swift would be a star when she saw the Midnights artist perform her song "Tim McGraw" from her debut self-titled album in front of the musician himself. "[Taylor] walked down the steps looking right at Tim McGraw singing, and I’m like, 'This girl’s gonna be a huge star,' " McEntire said at the time.
