Reba McEntire Comedy ‘Happy’s Place’ Ordered to Series at NBC

NBC has picked up the Reba McEntire-led comedy pilot 'Happy's Place' for a full season order.

“Happy’s Place” follows Bobbie (Reba McEntire), who inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) she never knew she had. That comedy, which ran on the WB and later the CW, was executive produced by Hanel and Schultheis for its entire run, while Kevin Abbott joined after Season 1. Hanel and Schultheis also executive produced “Malibu Country,” which starred McEntire and ran on ABC for one season from 2012 to 2013, with Abbott working on several episodes.
