Little Prince Louis is expected to be looking forward to Saturday's Trooping the Colour with excitement, as huge crowds are drawn to the Mall and Buckingham Palace

William and Kate's youngest child has made no secret of his love of military planes and helicopters, so he is sure to be feeling excited about the key event in the royal calendar on Saturday, 15 June. Trooping the Colour involves 1,400 marching soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians in a spectacle that draws huge crowds to Buckingham Palace, but it seems six-year-old Louis' gaze will be firmly fixed on the sky if previous appearances are anything to go by. Royal fans will also remember the 2022 Trooping the Colour ceremony, just months before Queen Elizabeth's death, where Louis stole the show by pulling a series of funny facial expressions from the Palace balcony and holding his hands over his ears during the fly past.
