Real-life Mr Bates victim 'emotional' and 'absolutely blown away' by ITV series
It's a true story that has shocked the nation. Now a victim of the Post Office scandal played by Will Mellor in ITV drama has admitted he was 'emotional' and 'absolutely blown away' by the series.
Speaking to Talk TV’s Ian Collins on Monday evening about the series with Will, via separate video links, the host asked Lee how he felt about seeing the actor playing him on screen. Confessing he was "absolutely blown away", Lee said: "The empathy and the understanding and the feeling that he brings to the part, I am very grateful for that and I am very humbled. "I can't put into words how emotional it's made me feel because when you see Will in the kitchen with Amy, who is playing my lovely wife, Lisa, it brings back these floods of memories that are so deeply inbound in my body."
