RAYE Performs ‘Escapism’ & ‘Worth It’ in ‘Saturday Night Live’ Debut: Watch

RAYE made her Saturday Night Live debut on April 6, performing songs from her Brith Award-winning debut album.

During the Kristen Wiig-hosted episode on April 6, the London-born singer-songwriter passionately delivered “Escapism” and “Worth It,” which appear on her 2023 studio release, My 21st Century Blues. RAYE opened her SNL musical guest debut with a stirring performance of “Escapism.” Backed by a array of musicians and singers, the artist belted out the dance-rap fusion in a setting reminiscent of her recent live album recording at Royal Albert Hall in London. The 26-year-old songstress followed with a lively performance of “Worth It,” first sitting down at the piano for the subtle intro and then building up to a rousing finish with the help of her choir and orchestra.
