Raye fans are left baffled as she is nominated in Best New Artist category at the BRIT Awards despite her first single being released NINE years ago
The singer's nomination in the Best New Artist category raised eyebrows among her fans who pointed out she has been releasing music for several years.
Although her debut studio album My 21st Century Blues was released last year, Raye, 26, first came to public attention when her vocals were feautred on Jax Jones' single You Don't Know Me in 2016. She was also featured on Jonas Blue's hit single By Your Side the same year and she provided vocals for David Guetta's song Bed in 2021. Raye, whose real name is Rachel Keen, is nominated in the category alongside Mahalia, Olivia Dean, Pinkpantheress and Yuseff Dayes.
