X/@RandPaul Senator Paul was setting the hardest of hard lines between his and the party leadership over what he calls reckless spending and debt needless to say, although still under immense pressure from the GOP leadership and the White House, he clearly indicated that he won’t be supporting the raising of the debt ceiling by five trillion dollars. He suggested making debt ceiling increases short; just for three months at a time, so that enforceable accountability may be ensured on a frequent basis. The fallout concerning Paul’s position puts him at odds with much of his party, hoping to push the big bills to the forefront before the elections.
