Director Nicholas Hytner and writer Alan Bennett are reteaming for The Choral, a movie to star Ralph Fiennes, Jim Broadbent and Simon Russell Beale.

Set in Ramsden, Yorkshire in 1916, the plot centers on the chorus master and most of the men of the ambitious local Choral Society, who have volunteered for the front. The pic was financed by Sony Pictures Classics, which previously distributed the Maggie Smith-starring Lady in the Van, along with BBC Film and Screen Yorkshire.
