Rai Cinema's Paolo Del Brocco talked Box Office, cinemas & too many movies since Covid at the AVPSummit.
The head of Rai Cinema has sounded the alarm on a struggling local box office, influx of movies since the pandemic and inflation in the market. He also pointed to market inflation due to “huge investments” by streaming platforms, while at the same time there has been an influx of local pics since the pandemic. Del Brocco was speaking at the AVPSummit after an Italian culture minister confirmed plans for a new film and TV tax credit had been submitted.
