Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ Video Surpasses 1 Billion YouTube Views
The video for Radiohead's 1992 classic, "Creep," marks their first entry into YouTube's Billion Views Club.
The clip is simple but effective, featuring the band — comprised of Thom Yorke; brothers Jonny Greenwood and Colin Greenwood; Ed O’Brien and Philip Selway — performing the anthem about wanting to fit in onstage among moody, dim lighting. First released in 1992 and included on Radiohead‘s debut album Pablo Honey, the song became an underground hit in America when a San Francisco college radio station’s music director found it in a Berkeley record shop and added it to their playlist. Since then, “Creep” has been injected directly into the mainstream music scene, with countless artists putting their spin on the track and covering it, including everyone from Prince, Olivia Rodrigo, Kelly Clarkson and Lizzo, to Jim Carrey, Moby, Weezer and many more.
