Another BBC Radio 2 star had to be replaced on Tuesday, as Vernon Kay was forced to rest his voice after battling a sore throat the day before on his mid-morning show

Despite the struggle, he managed to complete his two-and-a-half-hour shift, even enthusiastically revealing Radio 2's new Children in Need campaign featuring the latest addition to the station, Paddy McGuinness, reports the Mirror. Zoe Ball, the beloved host of Radio 2's Breakfast Show, made a triumphant return this week after a six-week hiatus.
