Radio 1 star Arielle Free QUITS early morning show and will be on air just once a week after THAT on air controversy with Charlie Hedges


The host, who currently presents Early Breakfast on Radio 1 from 5am until 7am Monday to Thursday, will be handing over the reigns to Dean McCullough.

The switch comes after Arielle was suspended from the station after she was pulled off air after interrupting Charlie Hedges Saturday's Dance Anthems show last summer Speaking about the recent reorganisation at Radio 1, head of the station Aled Haydn-Jones said: 'I'd like to thank Arielle for her dedication to helping the nation wake up every week. She joined BBC Radio 1 in 2019 to host the early weekend breakfast slot and tours the world as a celebrated Electronic house DJ.
