Rachel Zegler sings Waiting On A Wish in new Snow White trailer after being slammed for being too 'woke'
Disney released another look at its upcoming live action remake of Snow White. In it, Rachel Zegler, who stars as the Grimm Brothers heroine, sings a new song called Waiting on a Wish.
'Waiting on a wish / Holding out for someday / Hoping somehow, some way / There comes a miracle to find me / I close my eyes and see / The girl I’m meant to be / Is she a part of me I’ve had to hide?,' the West Side Story star, 23, sings. 'The reality is that the cartoon was made 85 years ago and therefore it's extremely dated when it comes to the ideas of women being in roles of power and what a woman is fit for in the world, ' Rachel told Entertainment Weekly.
