The TV host, author and actress went under the knife at Cedars Sinai medical center in Los Angeles last week to fix a debilitating heart condition- mitral valve prolapse (MVP) - which had left her fainting, breathless and unable to play with her three-year-old son. But on December 20, 2023, she saw a cardiologist who performed a transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) - a test that takes pictures of the heart using high frequency sound waves - and she was finally diagnosed and ordered to undergo emergency surgery.
