Rachel Bloom Sets Netflix Debut For Stage Show Turned Special ‘Death, Let Me Do My Show’

Rachel Bloom's new comedy special 'Death, Let Me Do My Show,' based on her same-name stage show, has been set to premiere on Netflix this fall.

The show follows her character Rebecca Bunch, a high-powered New York lawyer who impulsively abandons her successful career after a chance encounter with her first love. Convinced that rekindling their romance will bring her true happiness, she relocates to West Covina, California, and as she adapts to her new life, she navigates comedic and poignant situations, dealing with mental health struggles and forming new relationships, including a close bond with quirky co-workers. Rising to internet fame as early as 2010 with viral videos like “Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury,” Bloom has also previously been seen on shows like Paramount+’s revival of Frasier, Max’s Julia and Hulu’s Reboot, among others.
