Queens of the Stone Age Cancel 8 European Dates as Josh Homme Returns to U.S. For Emergency Surgery

Queens of the Stone age have canceled 8 European July tour dates due to an undisclosed ailment suffered by singer Josh Homme requiring surgery.

Queens of the Stone Age announced on Tuesday morning (July 9) that the group has been forced to cancel a string of planned European dates this month due to a medical issue affecting singer Josh Homme. “We apologize for any inconvenience and share in your frustration and disappointment.” Last week, the group informed fans that they would not be able to perform at the preview of this year’s AMA Music Festival on July 5 in Italy “ due to illness.” Following six more Euro festival dates, Queens are slated to bring their End Is Nero tour — which kicked off in Sterling Heights, MI in August 2023 — to U.S. shores again in September, beginning with a show at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston on the 27th.
