Queen's furious exact words over naming of Lilibet by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The Queen was allegedly unhappy over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle using her nickname, Lilibet, as their daughter's name – despite the pair claiming to have asked for permission

Writing in his new biography, Charles III: New King, New Court, Robert reportedly recalls how a member of staff spoke of the Queen's anger over Harry and Meghan's announcement in 2021, following the birth of their second child. It was reported that the time that the Queen had not been asked about the name by the Sussexes, but the couple's lawyers later sent legal letters to publishers stating the claim was false. The author said in his book: "One privately recalled that Elizabeth II had been 'as angry as I'd ever seen her' in 2021 after the Sussexes announced she had given them her blessing to call their baby daughter 'Lilibet'."
